In exchange for your amazing support of our band, we thought it’d be nice to offer a little something in return. This spring, anybody who pre-orders our new album, Animalore, in any format (MP3 / CD / LP), or attends a show on any of our spring tour dates (more shows in more cities will be announced soon, don’t worry!) will be entered to win a very special, very free, all-expenses paid trip to beautiful Brooklyn, New York.
That’s right, we’ll fly you and a friend to Brooklyn to hang out with the band, and experience all the wonderful amenities that Brooklyn has to offer! Spend time with the band in their 400 square-foot apartments! Help with moving jobs! Shop at the world’s finest second-hand stores! Buy $5 Cell-Phone chargers on Flatbush Ave! Ok, really, the trip will be fun and will include a lot of awesome eating, shopping, and hanging. Your meals, travel, and lodging will all be completely paid for by the band, you’ll only need to pay for the out-of-print 7” you find at Sound Fix, Brooklyn Industries messenger bag, and ironic pair of 80′s pants you find.
We’ll videotape a lot of it so you can have a record of your weekend with the band, and the trip will end with a very special private living-room show from the band.
How to enter the:
1.) Pre-order Animalore, in any format, from the band and be automatically entered.
2.) Print and fill-out this PDF and turn it in to the band at the merch table at any show. (If you pre-order, you can still enter at a show and double your odds of winning!)
We’ll draw a winner from all entries sometime in May and then we’ll find a mutually agreeable weekend for your trip to Brooklyn. We’ll book the flights, arrange lodging, pick you up from the airport, take care of everything!!! We’ll need you to sign a waiver that releases the band from any responsibility in case you are injured somehow; including, but not limited to; run over by someone on a fixed-gear bike, mugged, tattoo while drunk, offended by ironic mustaches.
Thanks for your support and Good Luck!!!
Two years after the release of their critically-acclaimed album Say Something, Brooklyn-based indie pop quartet Via Audio (Jessica Martins, Tom Deis, David Lizmi, and Adam Sturtevant) have unveiled the plans for their sophomore album, Animalore, a collection of eccentric sounds infused with fairy tales, folklore, science fiction, romance, seduction, and adventure.
Recording the album in Spoon drummer Jim Eno’s Austin, Texas studio in 2009, Via Audio tackled their latest songbook as Eno artfully crafted different sonic palettes for each unique song on Animalore. The result is an indie rock album that serves as a pop-up book for adults, bursting with vivid colors and secret corridors at the turn of every page.
Via Audio will release Animalore via Undertow Music Collective on March 9th and the band will be busy supporting the record on the road all year. You can check out “Babies” from the album here
